The season’s first friendly was held on Sunday May 22nd against Abergavenny.  Monmouth managed to share the pairs matches but lost the triples four nil. It was an enjoyable day marred only by a few heavy showers but balanced by the high class catering for which Monmouth Petanque Club is known.
